Setting your user preferences
In this topic, you will learn how to set your user preferences, including email address, profile picture, language, and time zone.
We estimate that this will take 2 minutes to complete.
Profile Fields
The following fields are available to set in your NAVBLUE Academy profile:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Username (this is your email address)
- Title
- Manager (this is who is informed if courses with a deadline are not completed before the deadline)
- Company
- Email Address
- Website
- Address (postal address)
- City
- Country
- Time zone
- Work Phone
- Mobile Phone
- Skype
- Twitter.
HINT
At a later date, we may add more custom fields, but these are the standard ones.
ATTENTION
For a profile to be initially set up, you will need to enter a First Name, Last Name, Username, and Email Address.
Detailed Explanation
Click the Initials dropdown button.
Click the My Profile & Settings list item.
Click the Upload a profile picture button.
On the Profile screen, you can upload a profile, view the existing profile details, and change the profile details, if needed. We will start by changing the profile picture.
Click the Choose File button.
Click the me_small.jpg list item.
Click the Open button.
Click the Upload button.
Click the Localization list item.
Let's now change a value in our profile details. The profile details can be altered as needed, but it's quite a long list, so we will need to scroll or you can click on the tabs to get to specific fields.
The changed picture displays in a few minutes after processing has finished.
Click the Localization Edit button.
Click the Time zone dropdown button.
In this example, we will show how to change the Time zone.
Click the (UTC-7:00) Mountain Time (US & Canada) list item.
You would select the time zone appropriate to you.
Click the Save button.
