Setting a temporary password for a user 

In this topic, you will learn how to set a temporary password for a user.

Introduction

In some cases, a user may be unable to reset their password on their own. As a Team Admin/Leader, you can set a temporary password for a user that is part of one of your designated teams. Once you provide the user with the temporary password, it will ask them to change it upon their initial login. This is done for security purposes, and they are required to change it to a new permanent password. This feature can be used for users who have and have not logged into NAVBLUE Academy.

Detailed Explanation

Interaction 1 Click the People tab.

You can use the Quick Search field to find a user by First Name, Last Name, or email address. Alternatively, you can search the list using the vertical scrollbar on the right side. 

Interaction 1 Click the Quick Search input field.

Interaction 2 Click the NAVBLUE Academy hyperlink.

For the purpose of this demonstration, we have entered this for you. 

Interaction 1 Click the Options button.

Interaction 2 Click the Reset password list item.

Interaction 1 Click the Password input field.

REMINDER 

All passwords must contain the following:

   - 1 upper case

   - 1 lower case

   - 1 number

   - 1 special character

   - be a minimum of 8 characters long.  

Interaction 2 Click the Confirm password input field.

For the purpose of this demonstration, we have entered this for you. 

Interaction 3 Click the Save button.
